This vehicle was part of the Wencks 12th Army relief force trying to relieve the 9th army encircled in the Halbe Forest in April 1945. It was then subsequently knocked out by Russian forces at Belzig, south west of Berlin in April 1945. A local farmer recovered the vehicle and stored it in a barn until the early 1990’s. After the fall of the Berlin wall it was purchased and had a total ground up restoration which took 2 years.
