Bovington Kettenkrad (1941)

This project was taken onboard as a charitable contribution restoration from the world famous Bovington Tank Museum. The job was to sympathetically restore this well-known exhibited prime mover. This Kettenkrad was liberated by the British in North Africa in 1941 and brought back to Britain for evaluation. Axis Track Services restored the Kettenkrad to its original working condition, hence the reason it was painted grey before being coated in the African sand color and having all of the original unit markings reinstated. Most of the damage to the vehicle which we repaired was sustained in the 1970’s when it was used for reenactment displays at the museum.
